Toowoomba Water Treatment Plant
Fulton Hogan, a leading infrastructure and construction company, commissioned Everest Civil to undertake the construction of two overflow lagoons at the Toowoomba Water Treatment Plant.
This upgrade project was designed to enhance the plant’s water management capacity and required the completion of a comprehensive range of civil construction activities within a specified timeline.
SCOPE
- Bulk and detailed earthworks
- Placement of a geosynthetic clay liner with detailed capping
- Installation of multiple gabion rock mattresses
- Installation of a 1050 mm diameter stormwater pipe run
- Installation of electrical and communication pits and pipes
- Rock breaking activities
EXECUTION
Delivered by Everest Civil’s experienced team using a 20-tonne excavator with integrated GPS and tilt hitch, the project achieved precise design tolerances, a high standard of workmanship, and exceeded programme timelines. The completed overflow lagoons significantly enhance the water management capacity of the Toowoomba Water Treatment Plant.suring quality, safety, and long-term resilience for the Balonne Shire road network.
