The scope of works involves the reconstruction of sealed pavements across the region, restoring vital road infrastructure and improving community access. Everest Civil will deliver the works in line with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) Treatment Guide 2020 – 2021, ensuring quality, safety, and long-term resilience for the Goondiwindi Regional Council, Yelarbon. Everest Civil is proud to be working with the Goondiwindi Regional Council to restore the damages caused by the recent flooding disaster.

  • Reconstruction of 11 roads in total 
  • Two-coat bitumen spray seal, 6,447m²
  • Unbound granular pavement reconstruction, 3,474.81t
  • Unbound granular base reconstruction, 29.14t
  • Patch repair of localised pavement failures (<20m²), 25.35t
  • In-situ stabilisation with 50mm corrector layer, 5.87t

EXECUTION

Everest Civil is implementing comprehensive traffic management measures to ensure works are carried out safely while maintaining access for the surrounding community. Trained traffic control personnel are stationed at key locations to manage live traffic movements and support the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians, and construction equipment through active work zones. Temporary signals, signage, and variable message boards communicate lane closures, detours, adjusted speed limits, and potential hazards, helping maintain safe traffic flow while the flood restoration works progress.
