The project aims to restore and enhance the rural road network affected by the flood, ensuring safer and all-weather access for the community. Everest Civil will be undertaking  the comprehensive reconstruction of the roads in strict compliance with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) Treatment Guide 2020 – 2021.

  • Works comprised the repair and reinstatement of 47 roads
  • Gravel resheeting 100mm — 203.8t
  • Gravel resheeting 150mm — 1,789.88t
  • Heavy formation grading with 50mm imported material — 25,044.71t
  • Heavy formation grading with 75mm imported material — 8,211.67t
  • Heavy formation grading — 35,215.00m
  • Medium formation grading — 10,303.00m

EXECUTION

Everest Civil is delivering the works through a coordinated construction program supported by experienced operators, specialised equipment, and disciplined site management. The team is undertaking formation grading and gravel resheeting across the affected road network to restore road profiles and reinstate reliable all-weather access for surrounding rural communities.

Extensive traffic management measures are in place to maintain safe access while works progress. Trained traffic control personnel and temporary signage guide vehicles through active work areas, clearly communicating work zones, speed reductions, and potential hazards while minimising disruption to road users.
